I got this jacket during August because I love to layer but sometimes during the hot summer months it's hard to layer without dying of heat. Fast forward to last week.. I was going through my closet, picking out my outfit and it was hidden and tucked away in the back, untouched and unworn. I freaked because I knew it was going to be cold soon so I threw together this outfit and headed out the door. I am in love with the edginess of this outfit.
We all have those days where we feel like we stare at our closet full of clothes but we have nothing to wear. On days like this check those hidden spots whether it's the back corner, your bottom dresser drawer, or the top of your closet.

This combo is a new favorite of mine. It demonstrates how to break up a monochromatic palate by adding neutrals like the gray sweater and tan booties. Have a fun and safe weekend!

I have always loved interior design because it's like fashion for your home. I believe that fashion goes beyond the clothes that go on your back and even the way that you ensemble it. Fashion carries throughout every aspect of your surroundings whether it's the place where your inspiration evolves, or where a style or trend originates. That's why I think it's important to decorate your home in a way that shows off your personal style.
I have always been a fan of modern and contemporary furniture and accessories. I love the sharp, cleanliness that it brings to the room, while still bringing an original edginess to the space. Thanks to Modani, a Modern and Contemporary furniture store that has award winning furniture collections at an affordable price. Today I am going through step-by-step on how I decorate a room to make it feel put together and unified.
So let's get started...
You could stop there, and most people do, but to fully finish a room you would normally take it one step further. One word: Accessorize!! This is my favorite part when it comes to decorating because it's all the odds and ends that make your house a home, and what gives it your personal charm and flair.
I hope you have enjoyed this post. Go check out Modani's site or any of their modern furniture stores to fall in love with all of their amazing designs just like I did. They are also having a sale right now. Their clearance is up to 40% until Novermber 12th. Hurry and go check it out before it's too late!!

I am so thankful to the many men and women who have served our country. Freedom isn't free and I'm so grateful for the sacrifice of so many Americans so that I can live the life that I love and cherish. I love these American Flag boots that I got last winter. Not only can I wear them for any patriotic holiday but, not matter what article of clothing it is, it will be timeless. Below I've picked out some of my favorite pieces that will shout I'm proud to be an American. Happy Veterans Day and God Bless America!

Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day? Um well, everybody.. and I'm here to say that some rules are meant to be broken. In this post that I posted a few months ago, I styled this dress in a fun and casual way for summer. Just by adding a dark pair of boots and this beautifully embroidered jacket that has mildly deep hues in it, you are able to turn this casual baby doll dress into a full, fall ensemble that is ready for a night out.
Thank you for your support and don't forget to check back soon to see more of my personal style!
Today I'm sharing one of my favorite pieces in my closet and the best part is that you can wear it all year round. I've styled my chambray top four different ways to show you how you can transition this piece through every season of the year.
Spring: I feel like spring is a good time to whip out your pastel colors and since chambray is a light blue denim, you are able to make it appropriate for this season without any hassle at all. I paired mine with a pink Ralph Lauren skirt and some strappy white wedges.
Summer: For this season, I styled my chambray in a casual way that helps you layer in the summer without dying of heat. One of my favorite things to with button up shirts is to tie it around your waist. You can also try this trend with any other prints in almost every season.
Fall: I probably sound like a broken record, but fall is by far my favorite season. I love that it's cool enough to layer up but you aren't frozen from the inside out every time you step outside. For this season, I paired my chambray top with a big black and white camo print pants and ankle boots. The darker bottom half of the outfit evens out the light color of the top making it perfect and on trend for fall.
Winter: Now in reality there would probably be a big coat contributing to this outfit but I left it out of this post just to show off the chambray. This is my go to style when I want to dress something up or give the outfit an effortless wow factor. I put a collared top under a sweater, sweatshirt, or even a blouse that has a crew neck and roll the sleeves. My all time favorite way to layer by far!
I hope this has given you more ideas on how to style your chambray, or other button up collared tops, all year round. If you have any more trends that you would like to see transitioned through out each season. Happy Tuesday!!
