In honor of NYFW starting I am (finally) sharing my pictures from my day in New York this past June. Follow along this coming week as I share my NYFW inspired outfits that I will be sharing. Have a wonderful Thursday!!
I posted about this dress a few weeks ago and how much I love it. I wore it a couple times on our trip to the east coast. Once on a casual trip to the zoo, then again to church Sunday. For church though I switched it up and made it a little more dressy by just adding a few little details. This is so easy to do everyday with your wardrobe! People often ask me where I shop and how I have such a big wardrobe. Even though I love a good sale and finding a deal, the key to never wearing an outfit twice is being able to layer and switch it up. My recent post about this dress, I wore the dress alone. To church I added a sheer lace top, a chunky pearl necklace, a bit of arm candy and a cute pair of wedges. I also styled my hair different which can play a big factor too! Totally different look, same dress! Now run along to your closet to see which pieces you can mix and match to give yourself hundreds of new options!
The month of June was so chaotic with trips, drill, and summer fun that I kind of fell of my blogging schedule. It was one of those situations where your to-do list is so big that you don't even know where to start. I am back though and have so much fun content to share with you this summer. Here is my video diary from the trip to the east coast that I took with my family at the beginning of June. On the third day of our trip my camera died and I was soooo upset that I hadn't packed my charger. LESSON LEARNED, NEVER AGAIN!! Anyway, a lot of this video was filmed by my cute little sibs on a dated point and shoot camera. So yeah, the video is shaky and a little grainy at some parts but the memories are irreplaceable. Enjoy my little video diary!

Our first full day here on the east coast we rode the metro to go see the National Zoo. The metro by its self was an adventure but the zoo was exciting as well. Unfortunately most of the exhibits were empty so that was slightly disappointing but we kept saying to one another, "Well, it's free so we can't complain." All around it was a fun day out with the fam;)
I bought this dress right before my trip and no joke, I've already worn it five times. It is so fun, summery, and so so comfortable! I also wore it to church on this trip but that's another post. Thank you so much for reading!

On Tuesday my mom and I took on the city by ourselves while my other siblings stayed with my dad. We had so much fun other than the fact that my camera died the day before. I am kicking myself that I totally spaced even thinking about bringing a battery charger. I kind of wanted to cry because I love taking pictures of everything and then going back and seeing all of the memories. Of course, both of us had our phones and the cameras in smart phones now days are unbelievable, but sadly nothing compares to my big camera. *sniff, sniff*
All of the pictures that I took with my phone I edited with VSCO Cam. I use this daily with my pictures because I love the filters so much. Then you can post the pictures to your "grid." It's like a little photo journal and I love it so much!! To see all of my pictures from DC you can go check out my VSCO. If you have an account and love it as much as me, leave a comment and let me know what your VSCO is so I can go check it out!

Yesterday we went to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The home of the American Civil War battle, the Battle of Gettysburg was fought. It was one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been in. It was so green with so many amazing memorial monuments, plaques, and statues along with cool original, historic relics. My brother Jackson said to me in the car "There were a lot of people taking pictures with cannons!" To that I replied, "Yeah? Well Canon is a popular camera brand." I shared that little snip-it on my Instagram with a picture of my dad and I next to a civil war cannon, but seriously I had photography on my mind every second of that place because there were so many amazing things to snap pictures of.
I wore this super laid back outfit. It was just an orange blouse with some distressed jeans and a pair of matching orange ballet flats with ankle straps. It was so comfy to walk around in but after looking at the pictures, I love the way that the orange and light blue contrasted with everything. Such a visually beautiful combo!
If any of you are ever by Gettysburg, GO CHECK IT OUT! Seriously a highlight of my trip that I will remember forever!

On the we left we had to check out of our hotel early but our flight didn’t leave until that night. We checked out and then made our way back to Downtown Disney to go buy a couple of the things my indecisive mind decided I wanted. After we got back we went to go look at the other half of the hotel. Architecture wise, mind blown... again.

The last day of Disney *sniff* was spent at the Magic Kingdom. We had already done all of the rides that we wanted to, so we hit our favorites one last time and got our last treat of the trip. It was such a fun and colorful end to such an exciting trip.

Everything about Disney amazes me and this amazement doesn’t stop with their resorts. We stayed at the All Start Sports Resort and I couldn’t believe the details that were everywhere. Everything from the pool, to the architecture blew my mind. Back home, my high school basketball team was playing in the state tournament, AND WON THE STATE TITLE! It was so fun for all of us to be by all of the hoops even though we were sad we didn’t get to be at the game and celebrate with our school and our community. On this same day we went to Down Town Disney. There was so much fun shopping and cool food finds. There’s nothing better than some sweet shopping at Disney.
Being a 90’s baby, I have so many pictures and videos of my cute chubby legs exploring in overalls. The iconic style has come back in full force and they remind me of being a kid. Especially when exploring the wonders of Disney.
My competition the day before this didn’t end until almost one in the morning. We were so tiered so we slept in. Once we were up and going, we made our way to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It was AMAZING! I thought I wasn’t going to like that park at all but it ended up being one of my favorites. We hit Epcot and then ended the night at the Magic Kingdom. We were there until midnight. It was so nice, there weren’t any lines to the rides and we hopped right on every one! Looking back at these pictures makes me miss it, but also makes me thankful for the memories that were made.

Nothing is better than Disney, and that is where I’ve spent this past week. I’ve grown up with a dad who is a child at heart and loves Disneyland so when I found out that I would get the opportunity to travel to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida with my drill team I was ecstatic. I was lucky enough that both my parents were able to come too. Following my delayed red eye, I met my parents at the hotel and we headed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Even though I was exhausted from the plane ride, I almost didn’t notice how sleep deprived I was. We had so much fun! We ended the night watching the light parade and fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. It was a great way to kick off our great little getaway.
