Let’s talk make-up remover!! I wear a lot of make-up & one of the things I dread doing each day is taking of my make-up. Like, there’s not better feeling than a clean face after a long day, but it’s also the worst, messiest, process. I used to use a million cotton pads with make-up remover or micellar water & I still didn’t feel totally cleansed. Plus my mascara was always lingering with that ugly raccoon shadow. THEN, I DISCOVERED CLEANSING BALM!!
My getaway drug was a little travel sized bottle of Clinique’s Take The Day Off that was an impulse buy when I was waiting in the check out line at Ulta one day. Man, the just really get you with those cute little mini bottles don’t they!! I tried the cleansing balm that night & WAS HOOKED!! My makeup all came right off & my eyelashes were mascara free. I also love that there’s not as much waste (goodbye cotton rounds)!! Now Cleansing Balms vs Cleansing Oils… I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but Oil Cleansers just don’t work for me. I never feel like I can totally get all the oil off my face, even after double cleansing with other cleansers. It stresses me out since I have problematic, oily skin. If you know what I’m doing wrong, drop a girl a tip in the comments haha!! CLEANSING BALMS THOUGH!! They aren’t as messy, they break down product beautifully & come right off with a little water or a swipe of a washcloth. My favorite cleansing balm is the Banilla Clean it Zero. There are a few different formulations so you can choose one that will perfectly work with your skin type. Another one I love is from Versed. They have a travel size which makes it so convenient to travel with & it smells AMAZIIINGGGG. Those are the two balms I have purchased on repeat & would totally recommend. I also love that they are both so accessible. You can find the Versed one at Target & Clean it Zero at Ulta or on SOKO Glam. ![]()
Happy Cleansing!!
