Today I am introducing an extension of the Lexie Faith brand. Lexie Faith is a place where I express myself as well as share what inspires me. My “life motto” if you will, has always been “all things pretty.” Pretty things to me are of course fashion and beauty but it also includes nature, travel, the beautiful mess that life is; as well as inspiring words, stories, and advice. I have always loved quotes and writing them down. This all started with my notes in school. I would write all the titles and important quotes or points in extravagant fonts. People have always complimented my penmanship and so when I got the idea to start selling prints of my own penmanship, I started doing some research and studying calligraphy as well as practicing many quotes with many different mediums.
If you are interested in purchasing prints you can look at my "Print Shop" page located in my navigation bar or you can check out my portfolio also located under my "Print Shop" page. If you have any questions you can also email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

I hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend! I spent my long weekend enjoying the outdoors in Idaho at my grandparent’s cabin. Sometimes it’s good to get away from home for a couple days to kick back and relax. Now I have the energy to hammer out these last few days of school. Summer is in sight! Come on people, we can do this!
While we in Idaho it was raining the ENTIRE TIME! I was dreading the weather but the rain was actually very relaxing and I loved wearing all of my cozy winter clothes one last time before summer starts. What is your favorite winter article of clothing that you are going to miss this summer season?
Necklace: Cookie | Top: Old Navy (similar) | Pants: Mossimo
This is one of my favorite outfits. I wore this top all winter and fall with jeans and an olive utility jacket but now that it's warming up, I've switched the olive from the top to the bottom. Now I am wearing these olive pants and not just with this awesome orange top and coordinating necklace but with almost everything. Olive is my new favorite neutral color. What is your favorite "not so neutral" neutral like olive? Comment and let me know!
Look, it's Prom round two. I got asked to another school's prom at 11:30 the night before. You would think that it would be impossible to pull together, but no. I did it and it was SO MUCH FUN. Seriously!! There are a few things that I did that night before and the morning of that helped pull this glamorous look together. Today I will be sharing those few tips with you to help you if you are ever needing to get ready for an event in less than 24 hours as well!!
1. The dress/Outfit
THE DRESS! This is the most important part of the look in my opinion. I found this dress ten minutes after I was asked to the dance, the night before prom. I borrowed it from my cousin's cute girlfriend. Previously I had talked to her about borrowing it sometime in the future so I already had the connection. It is good to know your options and either have a few inexpensive dresses in your closet that can aid you at a time of crisis or know what your friends have and what fits so that you can borrow their dresses without causing yourself unneeded stress.
2. Self Tan
Not only do I love to have a little golden glow, but having a little tan just makes everything look better. It makes your skin look more healthy but it also plays a little mind game on our eyes and makes us look more slender (like when you wear all black, yeah you know what I mean.) One thing that I hate about natural tanning by either laying out in the sun, going to a tanning salon, or even just the sun exposure that we get on a daily basis is that it is so harmful to our skin and will make our skin age faster, yikes. My solution to this problem is to constantly wear sunscreen when I'm out in the sun and then when I want a little extra glow I self tan with a product called "Fake Bake". I swear by this product, you don't turn orange anywhere or at anytime and it goes on SO even. I've never had a problem with streaking. You can get it at Ulta but it is so much less expensive if you buy it on Amazon. One day I bought the airbrush version at Ulta for $32 and I came home and used it and my mom wanted some so she went on Amazon and bought it online for $12. So yeah, Amazon is your best bet. Love love love this product, always have a bottle on hand ready to use!
3. Eye Catching Jewelry
Accessories are an important and easy way to make your event outfit flow. I found this necklace at Charming Charlie at 11:00 am, the morning of my event. I always love Charming Charlie when I need event jewelry. I always find exactly what I need. I buy all of my jewelry for my high school dances here!
4. Chic and Simple Hairstyle
Trying to figure out what you are doing with your hair is one of the hardest parts of putting together a stunning look. My advise is to have a chic but simple hairstyle on hand, one that you have found and practiced ahead of time so that if you have a last minute event come up, you don't have to worry about it. I find my inspiration for hair and makeup ideas on Pinterest and then try out the styles so that I know if they work on my hair or not. Go follow me on Pinterest to see what inspires me!
I hope these tips were useful to you. Have you ever had a big event but you didn't have time to get ready for it? Comment and tell me your story!

I'm sure that you are all so fed up with my spring break content since I have been posting little bits and pieces over the past month but here is the last of it I SWEAR! Here is a quick little personal family video of our adventures this spring in San Diego.
You know that awkward stage, when your hair isn't short anymore but it isn't long either? That to me is how the spring season feels. At least in Utah, it is cold in the morning but then you are hot at noon and you wish you would've worn something cooler, but by four pm you are so glad you dressed warm because there is a crazy wind and it looks like it's going to rain but an hour later it is way hot again? Yeah, that's Utah's spring weather for ya.
Sometimes it can be hard to dress appropriately for the weather during the spring and one of my favorite hacks to this dilemma is to wear a sweater with shorts. It is a good way to transition between seasons without stressing over what mother nature has up her sleeve to ruin how you feel in your outfit.
I want to know your go to outfit for spring. Comment on this post to share with me how you transition your style between seasons!

Pinterest is one of my main sources of inspiration. I probably get on there at least once a day. One thing that I have been seeing a lot of on Pinterest is flowy, black and white pieces for spring. This makes me SOOO HAPPY since black and white are my favorite combo!
Follow me on Pinterest to see what I pin and what I am inspired by daily and maybe gain some inspiration of your own!
I found this dress last summer. LAST SUMMER PEOPLE. The second I saw it I knew I needed for spring. Everyone I was shopping with told me it was the ugliest dress but I loved it. Since then it has been sitting in my closet waiting for the snow to melt (not that that was hard since Utah got NO SNOW this year) and the blossoms to bloom! I wore this little number to church on Sunday and I got so many compliments on it. This is a perfect example of why you should never listen to anyone's opinion when it comes to YOUR style. Do you have an article of clothing in your closet that you love with all your heart and soul but people have poked at it before? I want to hear about it, leave a comment and tell your style story! Below I've picked some more of my ultimate spring picks for this season. Thanks for stopping by!!
Mother's Day is just around the corner and if you don't already have your mom's gift, don't sweat. I have a quick and easy DIY that your mom will love. There are three recipes; 2 sugar scrubs and an epsom salt soak. My mom isn't big on baths, she's more of a shower gal which is where I got the sugar scrub idea but I added the epsom salt recipe if any of your moms love taking relaxing baths as much as I do. Keep reading to find the recipes for these yummy scrubs and salts.
Before you start, measure the amount of sugar/salt you will need by pouring it into your containers first. That way you will have the perfect amount and won't be scrambling when you've either made too much, or not enough.
